PROCESS OVERVIEW

　　Millet is an essential grain in people's daily life with its highly nutritious than age old cereals. It is difficult for us to get high qyality millet just by hand. Here comes the requirement for developing right automatic and mechanical millet processing unit for all the millets that are processed and consumed to meet different Millet Processing Plants such as proso millet, foxtail millet, little millet, barnyard millet,kodo millet,pearl millet, finger millet, brown top millet and jowar.

　　Husking separation: husker and separator remove the husk from the outhulls of the material and separate from the kernel to obtain pure kernel.

　　Polishing and grading: the pure millet kernel is polished by a polishing machine to remove the impurities on the surface of millet kernel, increase the surface gloss and further increase the purity of millet kernel.

Because the uneven quality of raw paddy, the purpose of cleaning is to remove all kinds of impurities in the paddy through various cleaning equipment, making it meet the quality requirement of further processing.
Sifting:
Removing large, small and light impurities in millet according to their different size and shape from the paddy.
Gravity grading:
Separating impurities base on their differences in density, friction coefficient, suspended speed and other physical characteristics with the paddy through the gravity grading equipment.
Magnetic separation:
By putting the paddy through the magnetic field, the ferromagnetic impurities are separated hence avoid damaging to the processing facilities.

Cleaning:

To ensure the quality of millet and protecting the processing equipment, before entering into the milling process from temporary storage, the pre-cleaned millet needs further cleaning. This process utilizes a variety of means, such as screening, aspiration separation, magnetic separation, stone removal, Millet scouring, optical sorting and so on.

INTRODUCE:

The cleaned paddy enters into the hulling process, and the husks are removed by the hulling equipment to obtain pure brown millet.

Millet Milling

INTRODUCE:

Millet milling is the process of to separate and remove the husk and bran to obtain the edible portion of paddy. It is the process which transforms paddy into edible millet. The process has to be accomplished with care to prevent excessive breakage and improve the quality of millets.
To reduce breakage and the grain temperature during the whitening process, the paddy is normally passed through several whitening and polishing machines connected in series. The arrangement of machines to process the millet is dependent on the physical characteristics of paddy. Proper sequencing and arrangement of the machines will help lower the broken rate.
According to the quality requirement of end product, we provide reasonable configuration and arrangement of machines in the process design ensuring the quality standard of finished product with lower energy consumption.

Further processing

INTRODUCE：

After being processed by the mill, the Millet can still contain some bran powder, broken Millet and discolored Millet, which would affect the quality of the finished product. The purpose of the further processing section is to remove them in order to ensure the quality of the finished Millet.

millet grading:

The purpose of Millet grading is to separate broken rice which are not up to the standard quality requirements. The common equipment is the Millet grader, which can separate Millet into different grades.

Polishing:

To remove the bran powder attached to the surface of Millet, so as to make the Millet clean and bright.

Color sorting:

The color sorter adopts optoelectronic technology, using the difference of reflection rate between discolored Millet and white Millet to separate the Millet with different colors, thus ensuring the quality of the finished product.
